Country or State (If US) of Origin: born in Carthage, MS, move to Seattle, WA to live with her uncle when she was fourteen.
Likes: she enjoys the feeling of the warm sun falling onto her shoulders, the soft fur of a horse, and the steady beating of a horse's hooves on a meadow field. she also loves forests, lots of open land, and dirt roads. books are her favorite possessions, for they bring her into worlds not her own.
Dislikes: Washington and rain, and the annoying sound of rain beating down on her window. she doesn't enjoy school, and hates having to wear uniforms.
History: Star was born in Carthage, MS. Her mother was a waitress, and her father worked in a factory. Young Star had two siblings, a brother named Wolf who was two years older than her, and a younger sister named Rose, who was born three years later than Star. Wolf was a dreamer, and he told Star and Rose to be as creative as they wanted. His joke to Star was that she was given that name to inspire her to "reach for the stars" as he put it.
Star was eight years old when Wolf was killed by a werewolf. There Uncle William had been walking with Wolf, having come for the boy's birthday from Seattle, and it came out of nowhere. Uncle William chased it off finally lighting fire to a branch and throwing it onto the beast, burning it. However, it managed to bite him, and Wolf was already dead. Uncle William became a werewolf that night, and Star's parents were never the same. Her mother went into depression, and her father went to the bottle, which resulted him him becoming a violent drunkard.
Slowly life changed for the family, and none could get over Wolf's death. In less than a year, Star's father began hitting them, first their mother, and then he started to beat her, for she was alway interrupting, angering him even more. Star became very protective of Rose, and whenever they went to bed at night she always made sure Rose safe, and if their father ever visited them during the night she made sure his attention was fully on her.
Being beaten by her father changed Star. She no longer dreamed like her brother had wished her to. she didn't see the point, for with a father like hers all dreams seemed impossible. By the time she was eleven she had become cold to anyone but her sister and mother, but mostly her sister. She resented her mother a bit for not protecting Rose and her like a mother should. She hated her father for everything he did to her. She had bruises and scratches all over her, some scars even, but she did not let them show to anyone, not even her closest companion and family member, Rose. She was cold, distant, but also affectionate, though only to her young sister.
One day, when Star was fourteen, she was late arriving home. She got detention, and so Rose arrived home before her. She didn't think much of it, for their father never came home before seven at least. When she arrived home, however, she saw his car in the driveway, and she feared the worst. She raised into the house, and sure enough her baby sister, her Rosie, was laying dead on the ground, having been beaten to death. Their father stood over her, looking both seething in anger, and also confused. Star, in a blind rage, attacked her father, but she lost the battle and was flung on the ground beside her sister, feeling as though she too would die. She blacked out, and later she learned a neighbor had called the cops.
Star's mother was put into a mad house, for she was not mental sound after arriving home to find both her daughters on the ground in a pool of blood, seemingly dead, and her husband battling against a bunch of cops. Star was sent to Washington, for the only family she had, her Uncle William, lived there. After about a year of living with her uncle he found it was too hard, and so sent her to Forked, so she could get a good education.
Sample Post: (this is a post from RP site "Forgotten") Missy padded down the neighborhood sidewalk. she hadn't been here since she was young, perhaps only 4 months old. she could not remember for sure, but she knew it must have been two years at least since she last saw the place. her eyes landed on the largest house on the street. she remembered when she lived there with her human and his two parents. after his death she had ran away, and when she finally returned they were gone, and the house stood vacant. that had been how her life on the streets began, though she now enjoyed the alone time, though she missed David terribly. still, life on her own had it benefiters, even though they came with their own disadvantages.
she wondered how her life would change, now that she suspected her coming pups. would they survive the cruel life in the streets? would she be a good mother? she realized that she hadn't given her mother enough credit, and the worrying alone took up much energy. he pulled her mind away from these things, however, when she heard the new dog of her old home calling out for someone to come and have an adventure by running off. she didn't understand why the dog would ever want such a thing, for life on the streets would be hard for the domesticated dog. it had been for her, and that originally was the reason for her attempt to return home. if a stray were to find her in the wrong place... she could get in a lot of trouble out on the unfriendly streets of the city.
"Did i hear you say you wish to live in the 'wild'?" she said 'wild' unsurely, for the streets were hardly wild. if she wished to become wild, she would be much better off in a forest with a pack of wolves. of course, she did not question in a mocking voice, just a voice of curiosity.
